Welcome to 少妇直播 School's Curriculm Guide

少妇直播 School is the only unzoned girls鈥 secondary school in 少妇直播 and is an empowering and supportive environment in which girls can complete their secondary studies. In 2022, the school community reviewed their mission and values and developed the following statement which provides a foundation to guide our work:

鈥榯ogether, we belong, we grow, we achieve; inspired for our futures鈥

Students come to 少妇直播 School from over 50 different primary school sites and within the International Student鈥檚 Program, we welcome students from a range of different backgrounds.

At 少妇直播 School, staff are committed to supporting each student to develop their potential, through providing high quality learning experiences. Our continual focus on improvement in teaching and learning supports students to develop the character, competence, and wellness for a successful future.

The following Curriculum Guide offers guidance on subject selections and important considerations for students when designing their year 7-12 educational pathway to further study and/or employment.

Students in Years 7- 9 study the Australian Curriculum where they experience a range of curriculum opportunities through their required and choice subjects. Students in Year 10 can begin to specialize their learning program through selecting subjects that generate their interest and passions. Year 10 students also begin studying the 少妇直播n Certificate of Education (SACE) through Exploring Identities and Futures (EIF 鈥 replacing the Personal Learning Plan (PLP)).

At Year 7 students have the opportunity to audition for GifT Dance. Please see the audition dates and application form on the school鈥檚 website.

In Year 11 (SACE Stage 1) students continue to build on their transitional pathway through choosing the SACE subjects which further their interests, character, competence, and capabilities. In 2024 students will continue to undertake the SACE Stage 2 Research Project as part of their Stage 1 studies. Students in Year 11 can also choose to study vocational education (VET) and/or undertake an apprenticeship and will be guided through this process by staff specialized in this area of study.

When developing a SACE study pattern, students need to be aware of the SACE 200 Credit curriculum structure including the compulsory aspects of the SACE for literacy, numeracy, Exploring Identities and Futures, Research Project and the required Stage 2 Credits at C grade or better.

To prepare for choosing subjects at Year 11 and Year 12 (SACE Stage 2) students will work closely with specialist staff and their LEAP teachers to ensure the subjects they choose will get the best outcomes for the pathway(s) they want to pursue.

I invite you to become familiar with this Course Guide that contains the information required to make the decisions about subject choices that best suit your transitional pathway, interests, and passions.
